Privacy Policy
mowmow (the "Operator") sets out below how user information is handled in the game "Parallel Mahjong ~ Revenge of the What-If Player ~" (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
The App does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, location or device identifiers. The App does not send any user information to the Operator's servers (for the server log kept when loading records, see section 4).
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following information needed to play only on your device (in browser storage or app storage). It is not sent to anyone, including the Operator.
- Settings (rules, controls, volume, CPU strength, language, etc.)
- Records (results of each hand, placements, rating)
- Hands saved for watching and replaying
- Tutorial progress and unlocks
- The number of hands played in the free trial
This information is deleted when you delete the App or clear the browser's site data.
3. Information You Export or Send Yourself
In the following cases, information leaves your device through your own actions.
- Exporting data (backup): creates a file containing the information in section 2, plus the App version, the device type (web, Android, etc.), the browser type (user agent) and screen size information. If you send this file to the Operator with an inquiry, it is used only to investigate the problem and is deleted when the investigation is complete.
- Saving hands, saving images and sharing: the data is sent to the destination you choose (cloud storage, social media, messaging apps, etc.) and handled under that service's privacy policy.
- Posting to X (formerly Twitter): choosing "Post to X" opens X's posting screen. You decide whether to post.
4. Game Record Files
Game record files you load are handled only on your device and are not sent to the Operator. Player and team names in records are shown on the game screen only if you choose to show them, and are not included in result images, saved hands or records.
When you use "Choose a game" in record import, the game list and records are loaded from the Operator's website (parallel-mahjong.com). As with any website, the logs of the delivery service (section 5) may record your IP address, the date and time, the files loaded and your browser type. The Operator uses these logs only to operate the site and respond to unauthorized access. Which games you load is not linked to you personally.
5. External Services
The web version of the App, pages such as these terms, and the record data are published using Cloudflare Pages, a delivery service of Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Loading pages and records goes through its servers. Information there is handled under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The App currently does not use any external services for advertising, analytics or error monitoring.
6. Use by Children
Because the App does not collect personal information, no personal information is sent to the Operator when children use it. Please purchase the Full Version with a parent's or guardian's consent.
7. Changes to This Policy
This policy may change when new features are added to the App. A changed policy takes effect when posted on the website.
If there is any discrepancy between this English version and the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
